Christian G. Bekoe-Tabiri
Christian Gottfried Bekoe-Tabiri, the Principal of the firm, qualified as a solicitor in 1999. He founded this firm in 2023. Prior to that he founded Christian Gottfried & Co. Solicitors in 2002, with offices in London and Liverpool. He practised as a Barrister of England and Wales for seven years. Christian has wide experience in law having practised in various areas of the law, including Immigration and Asylum, Landlord and Tenant, Employment, Administrative Law and Public Law. Christian’s specialisms are Energy Law, Maritime Law, and Arbitration.
Christian is a highly focused and self-motivated legal practitioner who was called to the Ghana Bar in 1986 and practised in Ghana with Tawiah Adamafio & Associates and Tetteh & Co. until 1990 when he left the jurisdiction of Ghana. He was called to the English Bar at Lincoln’s Inn in 1992 and practised as a barrister until 1999.
After seven years of practice at the English Bar, Christian qualified as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and was admitted to the roll of Solicitors in 1999. He remained a solicitor until recently when he returned to practise in Ghana and joined HLC. In 2002, he established Christian Gottfried & Co. Solicitors in London and subsequently opened another office in Liverpool. Both offices attained Lexcel accreditation.
He was the principal of Christian Gottfried & Co. Solicitors from 2002-2018. Among his reporting functions was Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP), Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA) and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
Christian is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) UK, and holds an LLM (Oil and Gas Law) from Robert Gordon University Aberdeen, a PGDip Maritime Law from London Metropolitan University, a BL (Barrister at Law Certificate) from Ghana Law School, and a BA Hons (Law and Classical Civilisation) from University of Ghana.
